🧘‍♀️ The Basics: How to Prepare for Your Yoga Class

Whether you're new to yoga or returning to your mat, here are a few simple tips to help you feel confident and prepared for your in-studio or online yoga class.

🧘‍♀️ Practice Yoga Online from the Comfort of Home

All of our classes are held live online via Zoom, making it easy and convenient to join from anywhere. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced yogi, our classes are designed to be accessible for all levels.

✅ Before Class

  • Arrive 15 minutes early to allow time for check-in and setup.

  • Stay hydrated throughout the day by drinking plenty of water.

  • Avoid heavy meals before class. A light snack 2–3 hours beforehand is usually fine.

  • I log in 10 minutes before class begins to welcome you and help you get settled.

  • After class, I stay on for 5 minutes to answer any questions or offer personalized guidance.

🧰 What You’ll Need

You don’t need fancy equipment to get started! Here’s how to create your own yoga setup at home:

  • Yoga mat (or a non-slip surface)

  • Beach towels = yoga blankets

  • Firm cushion = bolster

  • Bathrobe belt or necktie = yoga strap

  • Thick books or soup cans = yoga blocks
